How to Enter
To submit a valid entry, you must:
- Follow @chefworks_southafrica on Instagram.
- Share the official competition post to your Instagram Story.
- Tag @chefworks_southafrica in your Story.
- Complete the competition entry form on this page.
- Upload a screenshot showing the competition post shared to your Story.
- Sign up to receive the Chef Works newsletter.
All entry steps must be completed for your entry to qualify.
Competition Period
The competition opens on:
3 August 2026
The competition closes on:
24 August 2026
Entries received after the closing date and time will not be accepted.
The Prize
One winner will receive:
- One Chef Works jacket
- One pair of Chef Works pants
- One Chef Works apron
The total combined retail value of the selected items may not exceed R3,500.
The winner may select qualifying products from the Chef Works South Africa online store, subject to availability.
The prize:
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Cannot be transferred to another person
- Cannot be exchanged for a voucher or store credit
- Is subject to available products, colours and sizes
- Must remain within the R3,500 maximum value
Any amount above R3,500 will be for the winner’s own account, unless Chef Works agrees otherwise in writing.
Delivery within South Africa is included .
Who May Enter
The competition is open to South African residents who:
- Are 18 years or older
- Have a valid South African delivery address
- Have an active Instagram account
- Can provide the requested proof of entry
- Meet every entry requirement
Employees, directors, agents and immediate family members of Chef Works South Africa, the participating influencer, associated agencies and competition service providers may not enter.
No purchase is required to enter.
Entry Limits
Only one entry per person is permitted.
Duplicate entries using the same:
- Email address
- Instagram username
- Mobile number
- Identity or personal details
may be removed.
Automated, bulk, fraudulent or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
Story Share Requirements
The competition post must be shared to the entrant’s Instagram Story.
The Story should:
- Clearly show the official competition post
- Tag @chefworks_southafrica
- Remain visible for 24 hours where possible
- Be supported by a screenshot uploaded through the entry form
Entrants with private Instagram accounts must upload clear proof of the Story share because Chef Works may not be able to view their Story directly.
The uploaded screenshot must clearly show enough information to verify the entry.
Newsletter Consent
Newsletter sign-up forms part of the competition entry process.
By selecting the newsletter consent box, entrants agree to receive Chef Works news, product information, promotions and special offers by email.
Subscribers may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a Chef Works email.
Personal information used for the competition and direct marketing must be handled in line with POPIA. Consent for marketing should be clear and capable of being recorded.
Winner Selection
After the competition closes:
- All entries will be reviewed.
- Incomplete, duplicate or invalid entries will be removed.
- Each valid entry will be included in a random draw.
- One provisional winner will be selected.
- Backup winners may also be selected.
- The provisional winner’s entry will be verified before the prize is confirmed.
The draw will take place on or around:
25 August 2026
The promoter may use a digital random selection tool to choose the provisional winner.
Winner Verification
Before being confirmed, the provisional winner may be asked to provide proof that they:
- Follow @chefworks_southafrica
- Shared the competition post to their Instagram Story
- Tagged the required account
- Submitted the entry form
- Signed up for the newsletter
- Meet the age and residency requirements
The winner may also be asked to provide proof of identity and a valid South African delivery address.
If the selected entrant cannot be verified, does not meet the rules or has provided incorrect information, the entry may be disqualified and a backup winner may be selected.
Winner Contact
The provisional winner will be contacted through:
- The email address submitted on the entry form
- Instagram direct message
- Or another contact method supplied during entry
The winner must respond within 48 hours / 2 business days of the first contact attempt.
If the winner does not respond within this period, cannot be reached or does not complete the verification process, the prize may be awarded to a backup winner.
Chef Works will never ask a winner to provide banking passwords, pay a fee or share confidential login information to claim the prize.
Winner Announcement
The confirmed winner may be announced on:
- The Chef Works South Africa Instagram account
- The participating influencer’s platform
- The Chef Works website
- Other Chef Works social media channels
The winner’s name or Instagram username will only be published after the entry has been verified and the winner has been contacted.
Participation in marketing photographs, videos or promotional content is not a condition of winning unless the winner gives separate permission. South African promotional competition regulations restrict rules that force a winner to allow their image to be used for marketing without consent.
Product Selection and Delivery
The winner will be given instructions on how to select their prize products.
Product choices are subject to:
- Available stock
- Available sizes
- Available colours
- The R3,500 maximum prize value
Chef Works will make reasonable efforts to provide suitable products, but an unavailable product may need to be replaced with another product of a similar value.
The winner must provide correct delivery details.
Chef Works will not be responsible for delays caused by:
- Incorrect delivery information
- Courier delays
- Events outside its reasonable control
- The winner failing to accept delivery
Disqualification
Chef Works may disqualify an entrant who:
- Does not complete all entry steps
- Provides false, incomplete or misleading information
- Uses multiple or fake accounts
- Tampers with the entry process
- Uses automated entry methods
- Copies another entrant’s proof
- Harasses the promoter, influencer or other entrants
- Breaches these terms
- Acts unlawfully or fraudulently
Changes or Cancellation
Chef Works may amend, suspend or cancel the competition where this is reasonably necessary because of:
- Fraud
- Technical failure
- Platform outages
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Events outside the promoter’s reasonable control
Any important changes will be communicated through the Chef Works South Africa social media platforms or the competition page.
No amendment will unfairly remove a prize already validly awarded.
Personal Information
By entering, participants allow Chef Works to collect and use the information submitted for the purposes of:
- Administering the competition
- Verifying entries
- Contacting the winner
- Delivering the prize
- Preventing fraud
- Meeting legal and record-keeping obligations
Information may be shared with service providers involved in administering the competition, including ecommerce, email, courier and technology providers.
Personal information will not be sold to third parties.

Competition records may be retained for the period required by applicable law and for reasonable audit and dispute-handling purposes. Promotional competitions in South Africa are regulated under section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act and the related regulations.
